Tips to Enhance Body Immunity

Get enough sleep –
Sleep and immunity are closely linked. During sleep, the immune system releases proteins called cytokines. When we have an infection or inflammation, or when we are under stress, some cytokines need to be increased. Lack of sleep may reduce the production of these protective cytokines. In addition, infection-fighting antibodies and cells decrease during periods when we do not get enough sleep.

Eat healthy oil –
Foods rich in healthy fats such as olive oil, peanut oil, canola oil, and omega-3s are highly anti-inflammatory. Since chronic inflammation can suppress our immune system, these fats can naturally combat diseases. Low-level inflammation is a normal response to stress or injury.
